It is so beautiful here! the weather is just lovely and I'm enjoying it so much.<br />

My new studio is very practical. It has a sink and plenty of room for all my supplies and machines.<br />
<br />
I miss the art life of Houston because there was something to do every weekend. Some people thought I was crazy because I had an art festival, show or market every single weekend but I loved it.<br />
<br />
Recently the magazine Sunshine Artist featured my booth and I was thinking how hard my husband and I worked to make my booth easy to transport, functional, customized and CHEAP.<br />

I got asked over and over, where did you get your panels? where did you get your print rack and your desk? and the answer is, I made them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I notice my sales went up considerably every time I will add something new and better looking. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took pictures every time I made something so I will be sharing with my readers how I made them and how it worked.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Right now I have no plans on doing any shows or art festivals any time soon. My husband is starting med school in 8 days so he will be not going to be able to help me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm selling my art here www.etsy.com and in some galleries around Houston and Galveston, TX. I am also planing on applying in galleries here in Virginia. So far I am doing very well between the galleries and commissions.<br />Now that I'm not doing shows anymore I got more active on <a href="https://twitter.com/adrisart" target="_blank">Twitter</a> <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/adrisartw" target="_blank">Pinteres</a>t and <a href="http://instagram.com/adrisartw" target="_blank">Instagram</a> so if you have an account and wants to follow me you can do it by clicking the links above.</div>

I started painting professionally on July 4th of
this year and as local fairs and festivals are ending I would like to have an
online presence to be able to keep working as a full time artist. </h4>
<h4>
Help me by sharing
my facebook page at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/adrisfolkart">https://www.facebook.com/adrisfolkart</a>
and you can enter this give away. Follow the rules on this picture. The varnished
matted canvas can be framed with no glass as you would do with an original
painting. </h4>

Thank you so much for your help!</h4>

When I started painting I use to paint very naive faces and backgrounds. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love naive art and I still make paintings in that style but as I keep studying painting I stated painting more realistic. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't like photo realistic painting so much but I like when you can create something surreal.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I thought how cool would it be to put the little dolls I am already making with a background.<br />
The idea grew stronger as one of my clients told me that she loved my figurines but she wouldn't know where to put them and she made the comment "if this one was in a painting I would hung it" so that comment was the last sign to put my little creations in a shadow box.<br />
I call them dioramas because of the movie but I'm sure there is another name for them.<br />
<br />
This little Humpty Dumpty is already sold but I enjoyed the short time he got to live with me.<br />

All my paintings made it so I am very exited.<br />
<div>
The show starts April 26th at 6pm and ends May 4th at 9pm.<br />
The show is about directors and movies. I chose the director Wes Anderson and the movies "Moonrise Kingdom" and "Fantastic Mr Fox" I had a lot of fun making these paintings, mostly because I'm trying new techniques and mediums. </div>
<div>
If you want any of these paintings but you are unable to attend you can pay for them through paypal and I will ship them to you after May 4th. I'm putting the prices in the description.<br />

Where does your inspiration comes from? Inspiration comes from so many different places.It can be a movie, a chat, another artist, your kids and even a vision in your head.<br />
Sometimes and art call from a gallery or art collective drives you to get inspired by the title of the call. In my case the next paintings comes from the fast approaching call for art "Director's Cut" there is going to be one here where I live in Houston and the other show in California.<br />

<br />
This is a WIP (work in Progress) of "Sam" from the movie "Moonrise Kingdom"<br />
This is also a practice of the new oil techniques I learnt In this case it is oil rub technique. Working wet on wet but not being "alla prima technique".<br />
So, Where does inspiration comes from? for me each painting has it's own story.<br />

I finished my last Christmas commission on February 15.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKg9yUZ53I67JuB1NmJswc_bnDL6kmhid4QzeO8tQXUpFfsXZrufFT1S0FN0xjaYjgG37a-jewU-op91MAXI42ArEnZLcrJJX7-zsTk6hnXMBnF29mpu3NcRag1a-QuKbTAWWe/s1600/santadeer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKg9yUZ53I67JuB1NmJswc_bnDL6kmhid4QzeO8tQXUpFfsXZrufFT1S0FN0xjaYjgG37a-jewU-op91MAXI42ArEnZLcrJJX7-zsTk6hnXMBnF29mpu3NcRag1a-QuKbTAWWe/s320/santadeer.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Little ornaments made with clay</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
I learned so much about fairs and festivals I think I can write a book. I think I over did it though. </div>
<div>
My husband helped me so much. Going with me (and the kids) setting up the booth, going to pick me up and taking care of 4 kids while I'm there. </div>
</div>
<div>
With all that painting, making doll, figurines, making prints, pendants, boxes, selling and talking, talking and talking I had to take a break.</div>
<div>
On my break I started working with oils and I love them. This is my first piece. </div>
<div>
The canvas is not toned but I'm just starting so I forgot. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">I started with the drawing. In this case the drawing doesn't have much detail. It's like posterizing the image with your drawing, looking for shadows and lights.</span></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBdIL4DnNG9TZHJbNRIM9-BvMtHSWp20zsI4LDGfWrVcr8ZnNqeKyHxeAYRXWQ4d7DC0-jeXigGUwUstuxryXr9oEMnKAME9rItwmk_XxZyIQA7KBgZUabR1z8avxhgK82eK3z/s1600/Ashleypainting2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBdIL4DnNG9TZHJbNRIM9-BvMtHSWp20zsI4LDGfWrVcr8ZnNqeKyHxeAYRXWQ4d7DC0-jeXigGUwUstuxryXr9oEMnKAME9rItwmk_XxZyIQA7KBgZUabR1z8avxhgK82eK3z/s400/Ashleypainting2.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I worked wet on wet but I'm learning the old masters method of layering. </div>
<div>
I will not stop painting whimsical art, I'm just too in love with it but I always like to learn new techniques and play. </div>

I while ago I took some classes and, even though I haven't sculpt in a while, I grab some fabric, paper clay and paint and voila! this little things came out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made the bodies out of fabric and the face is clay. I painted them with acrylics.</div>

I, sometimes, get obsessed with a medium and I can't stop using it. This time is clay.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm going to be doing tons of arts and crafts shows and fairs. I hope if you are near Houston Texas, can come and see me. That's gonna be so cool.</div>
Now I leave you with a question, what is your medium obsession?<br />
<br />
eHugs!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I can't stop working! I am having so much fun with the animal series. I think I can do anything. This is another little painting (4"x6") that I finished. It has a lot of texture. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I don't know what it is about this theriocephaly art that attracts so many people. I saw some very cool Photoshoped pictures of human bodies with animal head.<br />
<div>
Now I'm working on the figurines to go with the painting. Stay tuned :)</div>

<div>
I didn't know if I could do it and every time I got a commissioned work everybody always wanted to wanted to add a pet to the picture.</div>
<div>
With time I got better and even though I still doubt my abilities when I work on an animal painting, when I finish I feel so accomplished and happy with the piece. </div>

Guessing why I was away for such a long time? well, my husband was studying, he wants to become a doctor and I want to help him to fulfill his dream. That means I took care of my 4 kids and helped him to get his studying done. He also had a full time job. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This changed, he lost his job and now he is working at home and he finished some of his classes so he has time to help me out soooooo I can work!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm excited. I made many pieces that I will be showing you and also I was able to participate in an arts market called "White Linen Night" that became HUGE here in Houston.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my booth preparation. I used to have some pegboards walls but they were very unstable for me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made this walls with $20 screen doors and galvanized wire mesh.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made some jewelry and I use some old wooden boxes I found on garage sales and a silverware tray.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my booth. I put it together outside my house to make sure nothing bad happen. Some people stopped by and bought some art from me. That gave me encouragement and a sign that I will do good at the fair.</div>

The contractions did go away for around 45 minutes so I went to bed.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >But at<span> </span>11pm though they started again, the same tightening in the back and belly but this time they were all lasting nearly a minute (unlike the “fake” ones that were 35 seconds long).<span> </span>These contractions were irregular so I was a little confused.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >At 2:30 I woke Eric up and I told him I was having contractions and they were not going away. They were coming every 10, 5, 2 and again 10 minutes apart. He filled up the birthing pool and I relaxed there. All the sudden I notice I didn’t have a contraction for 20 minutes so I got disappointed. Then I got a contraction that lasted 1:30 min and it was very strong.<span> </span>I labored in the pool for a while wondering if this was the real deal.<span> </span>Eric wanted to call the midwife, but I kept pushing it off.<span> </span>I was afraid that if she showed up she would tell me that I was just going through more prodromal labor and that I was only a 2 dilation.<span> </span>I had told Eric to call her around 6 but we actually called her at 7am.<span> </span>Eric explained the situation and Kathy, my midwife, said that she would come and check things out and if it wasn’t the real deal she could go home.<span> </span>We agreed and she arrived at 7:45am with all her gear.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >She checked my vitals and then she checked me and gave me the best news I had heard in a long time, “You are dilated to a stretchy 8.”<span> </span>Wow I was so excited.<span> </span>It was game time from then on out I was focused, concentrated, and ready to work. She also said that if the baby wasn’t in a very odd position I would have had the baby already so she sent me to do some squatting and sitting on the exercise ball while they were filling up the birthing pool again.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >My contractions now were very painful and coming every 3 minutes.<span> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >I got in the birthing pool and one of the midwives was pouring warm water on my back, which felt very good (I was kneeling and leaning forward over the edge of the pool). <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >Then I decided to push. I felt a pop and Eric said he saw a cloud coming out. They asked me if my water broke but I wasn’t very sure about it.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >I felt something different in one of my pushes but the baby wasn’t coming out so I decided to switch the leg I was bending and I pushed again, it felt like the baby went down. I got excited but then I felt as if somebody was pushing the baby back inside and I was confused and in pain. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >The baby was coming out with his hand over his head so the midwife was trying to pull the arm down. As the midwife guided me to squat down deeper I got a really hard push and the baby came out. I didn’t wait for a contraction to push. I did it with all my might because I really wanted to be over with it and baby Eli came out. I flipped position very quick as I caught my baby under the water and sat down back against the side. It felt so good holding my baby. I kissed him and told him that I love him. I patted his back and he cried.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; " >Eric came to my side and we cried of joy. These are some of the ones I already finished and delivered.<br /><div><div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFLSVv8bZeCaEgH0mIDMPgObE-4VoJytEYwsK1ENPq_ZbZYIAztcYqpXIHBaQBjp6HT7qHWeV88dI6SR6WdEdmWj7w6RohUJfSUAsdXNchVGOEypS0AnKOoRWMwqIoESkkTesa/s1600/commission2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFLSVv8bZeCaEgH0mIDMPgObE-4VoJytEYwsK1ENPq_ZbZYIAztcYqpXIHBaQBjp6HT7qHWeV88dI6SR6WdEdmWj7w6RohUJfSUAsdXNchVGOEypS0AnKOoRWMwqIoESkkTesa/s400/commission2.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515088832680664402" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilslG2FrvTNXW1djPYga9zJ6ZmDc8hmfjM9SVmysklxS6SFSCM-ZEjSWiw43DHszJE3jmGNjZb-r5YLZScMMl_pxMp7NSRle2djUvuoUuqzbNFWz4Es7uE0lWAZSHfK_pzxmNU/s1600/commission.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilslG2FrvTNXW1djPYga9zJ6ZmDc8hmfjM9SVmysklxS6SFSCM-ZEjSWiw43DHszJE3jmGNjZb-r5YLZScMMl_pxMp7NSRle2djUvuoUuqzbNFWz4Es7uE0lWAZSHfK_pzxmNU/s400/commission.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515088825545379490" /></a>Another reason for my absence is that I stopped homeschooling and I needed time to adapt to the new situation. I am pregnant!!! we are so excited Number 4 will arrive around April 5th.</div><div>I miss all my friends in bloggerland, I hope I didn't lose many of you with my absence. </div><div>See you around!</div><div>Cheers.<br /><br /></div></div>Adriana Whitneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03408624474059261275noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27380540.post-91649204877024792032010-05-20T10:47:00.000-07:002010-05-20T13:45:36.363-07:00Renegade Craft FairI had a great time on vacation and now I am back and with all my batteries charged.<br />The day after I returned from Florida (our vacation spot) I went, with my friend <a href="http://colorflystudio.blogspot.com/">Jennifer Dedonato</a>, to <a href="http://www.renegadecraft.com/austin-artists?site=au">"The Renegade Craft Fair"</a> in Austin, TX. It was an awesome time, Etsy was present and I came back very inspired not only with all the crafts but also with the great ideas to show art and booths.<br />Here is a little video I made, enjoy.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"></div><br /><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8WOkwhjYjfE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8WOkwhjYjfE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="418" height="350"></embed></object>Adriana Whitneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03408624474059261275noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27380540.post-36548804785273314032010-05-04T09:10:00.000-07:002010-05-04T15:01:38.428-07:00My New Sewing Corner and I met another blogger!In my new house my studio is bigger so I made a sewing corner. Sewing is another passion of mine, I like all kind of crafts!<br />I had all that fabric in boxes underneath my desk and now I am finally be able to chose what I am going to use without digging in the boxes and making a mess.<br />Yay!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4DaTDJJhdiTgxrqqVefYFQ8G6Q7BOJ-LorSBLVghNvowsjesuEnCobYR1CmNTnxQ5TYPmXDEEp5bD_TGbOgkiZos1oeMGg9F3_wQRB6iH8dFNSQ91k2Tbo9vL8MO2Sl-_U0yN/s1600/sewingcorner.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 314px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4DaTDJJhdiTgxrqqVefYFQ8G6Q7BOJ-LorSBLVghNvowsjesuEnCobYR1CmNTnxQ5TYPmXDEEp5bD_TGbOgkiZos1oeMGg9F3_wQRB6iH8dFNSQ91k2Tbo9vL8MO2Sl-_U0yN/s400/sewingcorner.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467452126848243314" border="0" /></a>Now changing the subject, I am amazed of how little the world is. I went to a women's retreat organized by my church at Round Top Texas. There I helped with the worship, playing my guitar and singing. The worship leader knows I am an artist so she sent me to her aunts folk art shop, her name is Sherry Green Peck and then I realized she is also a blogger and she knew <a href="http://www.mystele.com/">Mystele</a> too. It was so much fun!<br />I bet I will end up meeting more of you girls!<br />Here you can find Sherry's <a href="http://greenpeck.blogspot.com/">BLOG</a><br />Hugs!Adriana Whitneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03408624474059261275noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27380540.post-34311215524844471872010-04-29T09:38:00.000-07:002010-04-29T09:46:15.240-07:00GIVEAWAY and big thanks to CAST Team on EtsyI was feature on the CAST Team on Etsy blog (Christian Artist Street team) THANKS!<br />If you want to see the interview and have a chance to win one of my boxes, go to their blog <a href="http://castteametsy.blogspot.com/2010/04/featured-artist-adriana-whitney-from.html">HERE</a> and leave a comment on their blog.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://castteametsy.blogspot.com/2010/04/featured-artist-adriana-whitney-from.html"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 435px; height: 216px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3YSycOjBJiSFEKsA_bIWqXjhpB8ymFzjdY5QCrZ2mqiE6WUpZT3LOE320FRYwmjiRcTC5xvUdGC5ZtTeLaaR5Dy0W8w-QUuNQ9OlHOgtCS00vghazoVjE6URHpNZ38mirN_sBag/s1600/giveawaybox.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>Adriana Whitneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03408624474059261275noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27380540.post-15162293061033635252010-04-20T11:51:00.000-07:002010-04-20T12:17:24.882-07:00Colorfly StudioI mentioned my friend Jennifer Dedonato before and now I need to show you how great she is.<br />She works with paper, yes those lines, little circles and details are made out of paper, she is so good!!<br />I won a giveaway she had on her <a href="http://colorflystudio.blogspot.com">BLOG</a> some time ago and I was pleasantly surprised when the address on the envelope was close to where I live. I woke up early and very excited about the Art festival. Jennifer came early to pick me up and we saw a double rainbow in the sky. The weather wasn't hot nor cold. I thought it was going to be a perfect day.<br />As we were getting there, the rain started and it got worst when we were setting up the tent.<br />My tent is not water proof so it was raining inside too. The rain stopped and the wind begun. We were very scared because the tent walls kept shaking. We were doing our best to secure it but finally the whole thing came tumbling down.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;">This is what was left of my tent<br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuCYnmdnGo1YGqSX_8qygl-T2ZReD6eNvNuyG5mee-VjPr1-WsKOAAgGiR4VcHPvNX0RwpG7Cl5HPdK1_KyUoHQikFS1_sb87C0xagV6gB60VSU9l6NbbR1VIfIdQ33uH5tc4m/s1600/100_1604.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuCYnmdnGo1YGqSX_8qygl-T2ZReD6eNvNuyG5mee-VjPr1-WsKOAAgGiR4VcHPvNX0RwpG7Cl5HPdK1_KyUoHQikFS1_sb87C0xagV6gB60VSU9l6NbbR1VIfIdQ33uH5tc4m/s400/100_1604.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459261529155095250" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ7ayGm6AEoHA9ffiljkOTuNl6YkkOJdqu7VnXdriGsxA-Minb346ZHnWG-hXTIr1pmOGmjeLfCd0vZqxAdxjbn5aOrhs7kZ7Dg-vHGjkvbXrBe5l2WYa2-ucrFtfvJC4K7A51/s1600/100_1603.JPG"><br /></a>Mitch Cohen, the organizer, offered to give us another tent. He is such a great person and we didn't want to upset him but after much deliberation we decided to leave the show. He was very nice about it.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Here is Jennifer as we are packing up our stuff</span>.<br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0ksMGus14FqPo1x7e5ZDv1va1PnaSXhht1QwR7F3obBPUfCr3ZZFxLlLu3pyg7p4GXbdsqu8dPBhpo3UueFS1IjYAlFrcHWADlL3En0N5kPJg6jXJW00gfvOrl3rZb0wY918r/s1600/100_1598.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0ksMGus14FqPo1x7e5ZDv1va1PnaSXhht1QwR7F3obBPUfCr3ZZFxLlLu3pyg7p4GXbdsqu8dPBhpo3UueFS1IjYAlFrcHWADlL3En0N5kPJg6jXJW00gfvOrl3rZb0wY918r/s400/100_1598.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459261513927463106" border="0" /></a>After we finished packing we went to have lunch and then we saw the festival. I loved the art there, one of my favorites is this one. Her name is <a href="http://tadeusartgallery.com">Gabriela Monterroso</a>. She is not only very talented and does a great job with texture and color, she is also very sweet.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKgvrumYI50mh_OQi_LR03jNnNJ0A_Ome7cFXYSar7HWjas41gZVTt4JXg-epSPrmo5y8VsVVTtI0mrFeTrewonkEBu25Pvb2dwp7HcE8sgKd_516WnqI7su0-iZ8Rtur1QDz3/s1600/100_1601.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKgvrumYI50mh_OQi_LR03jNnNJ0A_Ome7cFXYSar7HWjas41gZVTt4JXg-epSPrmo5y8VsVVTtI0mrFeTrewonkEBu25Pvb2dwp7HcE8sgKd_516WnqI7su0-iZ8Rtur1QDz3/s400/100_1601.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459261511864098690" border="0" /></a>As we were leaving we notice the broken tent had a tag. Our artist neighbors wanted to raise some money to pay the fee for our booth. But I had good news for you guys, as the tent was going down I made a couple of sales and I got the money booth fee back and enough money to get me another tent, this time I am going to get a better one. (we were there for just 2 hours)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ7ayGm6AEoHA9ffiljkOTuNl6YkkOJdqu7VnXdriGsxA-Minb346ZHnWG-hXTIr1pmOGmjeLfCd0vZqxAdxjbn5aOrhs7kZ7Dg-vHGjkvbXrBe5l2WYa2-ucrFtfvJC4K7A51/s1600/100_1603.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ7ayGm6AEoHA9ffiljkOTuNl6YkkOJdqu7VnXdriGsxA-Minb346ZHnWG-hXTIr1pmOGmjeLfCd0vZqxAdxjbn5aOrhs7kZ7Dg-vHGjkvbXrBe5l2WYa2-ucrFtfvJC4K7A51/s400/100_1603.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459261539520684290" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKgvrumYI50mh_OQi_LR03jNnNJ0A_Ome7cFXYSar7HWjas41gZVTt4JXg-epSPrmo5y8VsVVTtI0mrFeTrewonkEBu25Pvb2dwp7HcE8sgKd_516WnqI7su0-iZ8Rtur1QDz3/s1600/100_1601.JPG"><br /></a>Adriana Whitneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03408624474059261275noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27380540.post-21231906257100323212010-04-07T06:29:00.001-07:002010-04-07T07:12:58.881-07:00Art FestivalFor the first time I spent 3 days by myself. My husband and daughters went to visit grandma while I stayed home and paint for the "Cross Creek Ranch Fine Arts Festival" It was so weird to be alone, I missed my family so much. I got a lot done though and when they came back I notice my daughters appreciating me more.<br />Below you can see some of the pieces I made.<br /><br /><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457392326608044738" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqNN3oVpE7c_NyrOgXaSnY4CIp5NU0KACq9EadP7kwCfg1bwD5bR9hrTtSpJ4EMt3lHorY1AcVcZ16389u_rwJTUWecu3HOZVCDnqXMY0koR57m2zwb8ty5M6E5sUYcXKqDzTb/s400/crosscreek2010.jpg" />If you are in Houston area come to the art festival.
