New painting and lots of work

Today I worked sooo much! I have this last minute invitation to "Mistletoe Madness" it is an art event and a big thing here in Houston.
This is going to be the first time I do something like this and I am a little nervous but very excited too. It is going to be next Saturday from noon to 6pm.

Last month my husband put his computer and a big monitor in my studio because he needs to work extra in the evenings for a couple of months so I have less room for big projects and I had to use the kitchen.
It is crazy how long it takes the "details" like attaching wire, certificates, signing prints, packing the pendants, etc.
I finished this painting yesterday. It is my version of "The Girl with a Pearl Earring" I feel like I don't have enough to sell so I am trying to finish more pieces.
Well, I hope it doesn't rain and my tent stays in place. I still have to get things and I hope I can find them (like wire panels and hooks to hang the paintings)
I will take my camera and, if I can, I will take pictures of the event.
♥♥♥

Adri,
All of the paintings look great. I think the beautiful colors will attract people to your tent at the event. I hope all goes well and you find success. Your version of the girl with the pearl earring is lovely. Good Luck.

Yeah Adri! :) Best of luck with the sale...I think you'll have lots of fun! I saw a seminar once on how to merchandise a booth...tent like you are saying. She said don't make it a U shape, where they have to come in to see your things...make all things visible just from walking by.

Have fun! You are such a dearie! :)

How exciting! You'll do so well! I love this new painting. I'm looking for a good tent- have you bought one or just renting one?

Hi girls, thank you so much for all the good wishes.
It went great, better than I thought.
Heather, one neighbour let me use his tent (10x10 E-Z UP) everybody was using that kind of tent. Another neighbour let me use a grid and a print holder so I didn't have to buy anything yet. I think I am going to buy a white E-Z UP.

How DO you do it Adri ? How do you juggle your kids and these art events? I am scared to death to commit to anything like that because I cannot even get my normal everyday chores done or get my kids focused on their grades. Do you have any tips for me ? I'm a basketcase over here ! And frustrated ! How do you find out about these events as well? You just moved here, and you are on the ball with it, and I have no clue other than the Bayou City Art Festival. Do you find the information in the paper?

Thank you so much everybody for your nice comments and wishes!
Dawn, give me you email address and I will give you links to Texas art festivals and info.
I work at night and don't need much sleep. Once a week I sleep more and I do fine.
My first and more inportant job is homeschooling my girls and I have help with that from my husband.
I also have help from my girls (we have a chore chart and rewars and they love to get tokens)
