I wanted to share this little 4"x6" collage painting on deep edge canvas.
In this painting I use my new favorite pencil "Nero" for Cretacolor. This pencil was recommended to me by the amazing artist Karmel Timmons (I met her at an art festival). It is a charcoal that has a little oil in it so it won't smudge so much.

Nero pencil tip: Thanks! Can only find in a box of 12, and there are 5 different types of hardness. Which one are you using? Thank You for sharing this tip.

What a precious painting! Her face is so soft and sweet. I will have to look into that Nero pencil. My mom is a colored pencil artist...not sure she has used those either.
