Valentines day is getting closer but even closer (to my heart) is my anniversary coming on February 12. When my husband and I were dating, he would give me love notes signed “the sequestered one” (el secuestrado) I would keep them like a precious treasure.
This girl represents that. Eric keeps giving me notes and they still are so precious to me. The canvas measures 6”x6”, I gave it some texture with gesso and I painted with acrylics and I finish it with varnish and an antique wash. I also made a video that it wasn’t intended to be a fast painting one , it was intended to be instructional but I block the view with my hand so I couldn’t use it for that.
