This is a 10"x20" acrylic on canvas.
This time I started with the background and I draw the girl with my favorite Nero pencil.
I also sanded the dress to create a denim feeling. I notice it was easier to paint with a base color. I am painting a lot getting ready for "First Saturday Arts Market" next month. My husband is working on the walls for my booth. It was hard to make a decision.
I had to pick between wood panels, pegboard, metal grid, propanels, mesh panel, hardware cloth and cattle wire. I picked pegboard because I thought it will be easier to hang the paintings but now I have buyers remorse, he he it always happens to me.

just lovely...the cartoon is one of my favorites, too!
Absolutely precious! I adore Olivia too.
She is fabulous! You will do so well at the Art market you won't even care about the pegboard! but I think it's a good choice :]
Oooh, pretty pretty! :) I love her little face and the bright colors!
Olivia! we watch that one too :) she's one of the few cartoons that doesnt annoy the heck out of me. I totally hate Oswald, that show is so depressing!!!

She's a cutie for sure! Great job!
How fun! Art fairs are the best. You get to meet the neatest people....artists and art lovers. Love the new piece. She looks like she's exerting some attitude!
Hope you are having a great week!

My niece loves that show, I have to say your Olivia is much cuter though!
she is adorable!
So cut Adri!
cute...i enjoy that cartoon also.
Looks like you are ready for your show..I really like your women .
Just a word of advise for you and your 'easy-up' canopy. Be sure to anchor it down very well. I've done these shows for 28 years full time and I've learned a lot about blowing away in a good wind! Anchor from each top corner to the ground..I used to do it both inside and out over night! Sorry to sound negative..don't mean to be but thought I could save you some grief. If you anchor well you will enjoy the most rewarding experience of all, meeting and selling your work to the public in person! Good luck and best wishes!
